We are a group of some 200+ volunteers and we predominantly make scrubs but just as importantly, help people to help.

We have no government funding and rely on our own fund raising and donations both financial and in materials

What we make

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • Carefully assembled bags full of items to enhance wellbeing and to say thank you to healthcare professionals.

  • Using scrap fabric and donated tennis and soccer nets to make camouflage nets for Ukraine.

Primarily focussing on designing and sewing sets of scrubs for healthcare practitioners at the outset of the COVID pandemic, the Scrubbery has continued to help where it can. Over the last 5 years we have made and distributed:

•        11,246 masks excluding those in wellbeing bags

•        7,418 scrub hats

•        2,300 well being bags

•        5,164 bags for laundry or Foodbank

•        25+ camouflage nets

•        613 trench candles

•        2,274 knitted garments & blankets, predominantly for children

•        Thousands of other items including headbands, scrunchies, children’s pyjamas and adult and children’s procedure gowns

As well as organising many shipments of general aid to Ukraine, including a donated van, and 10 lorry loads of unwanted NHS medical goods (worth £2.5m).
